Manraj Preet Sidhu

Manraj Preet Sidhu is an associate with Nanda & Company. Manraj obtained a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Concordia University in Montreal. After working as an engineer at a large multinational company in Quebec City for 3 years, Manraj decided to become a lawyer and enrolled at the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law in 2017. Manraj received his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2020.

Manraj specializes in immigration matters, but serves clients in a variety of litigation matters. Manraj’s interest in immigration law stems from his days as an international student in Canada. Manraj navigated the immigration system as a foreign national himself, and is now a proud resident of Canada who has studied, worked, and lived in this country. He personally knows the struggles of migrants to Canada, and wants to help people migrate and be reunited with their loved ones in Canada.

Manraj has wide experience in study permits, post-graduation work permits, family class applications, foreign skilled workers, and refugee categories.

Manraj was active in the law school community at the University of Alberta. Manraj volunteered with Student Legal Services and the Edmonton Community Legal Center, and acted as the Treasurer for the French Law Students Association. Manraj also participated in the national French language moot held between Canadian law schools. Outside of the law, he enjoys playing cricket and exploring the national parks in his vicinity.

Manraj provides legal services in English, Hindi, Punjabi, French, and Urdu.
